Boston Latin School (fifth) is built.

Architect: Richard Bond. Designed in the Greek Revival style, the building is located on Bedford Street and is shared with English High School. Boston Latin moves to another shared building (fifth) in the South End in 1880 that is dedicated in 1881.* The Bedford Street building is demolished in 1882.
